One area of importance to us in the children’s Sunday school ministry at FBC is for every child to feel loved and welcomed as they enter our classrooms. It is our desire that they feel the love of the teachers, but more importantly, we want them to experience the love of Jesus. Unashamedly, it is our number one goal to teach boys and girls about the love of Jesus in the hope that they will come to accept Him as their Lord and Savior. And after they receive Christ, we want to disciple them to become obedient followers of Christ (Matt. 28:19-20).
Love, Sharing God’s Word, Fun, Nurturing, Safe
In the Early Childhood and Nursery Ministry at Fredericktowne Baptist Church we care for the children that are Pre-K and under. We show them God’s Love in all the we say and do, we Share His Word with them, have Fun, we Nurture them and keep them Safe. Currently we have 50 adults and 26 youth (12 and over) that are on a rotating schedule for Sunday School and the Worship Hour with a staff member overseeing all rooms and volunteers.
For children 2 and under childcare is provided for both Sunday School and the Worship Hour. We use a pager system so that we are able to contact any parent who’s child needs them.
The 3's and 4's/Pre-k each have their own Sunday School class with loving teachers who have been members at FBC for 10 years! During the Sunday School hour we use the Gospel Light Curriculum. We also use Gospel Light for the Worship hour where the lesson reinforces the Sunday School lesson complete with a memory verse and a craft activity.
