What does A.W.A.N.A stand for?
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
The name Awana is an acronym that is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. – 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV)
Awana is a Bible-based youth program for kids 2 years old through the 12th grade. It is organized with the purpose of reaching boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and training them to serve Him.
What can my children expect?
The children learn and memorize the Word of God, play exciting games and earn awards for their hard work. They develop lasting relationships and learn teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy competition.
What are the activities for my children?
Our Awana evenings are broken into three main components:
Large Group, Small Group, and Game Time.
Large Group
Clubbers come together as a group as they learn the verse for the night. A Bible lesson is presented, helping the clubbers learn more about God through stories and acting.
Small Group
Our Club
Every year we celebrate the achievements all of our clubbers with a closing ceremony. It is a time great anticipation and joy as each individual child is recognized for his or her achievement in the program.
Special Events
Awana activities extend beyond weekly meetings. Special events include Scholarship Camp, Bible Quizzing and Grand Prix just to name a few of the year-round exciting activities..
