Give to Fredericktowne Baptist

“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together,

running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will

be measured back to you.”

(Luke 6:38 ESV)

Giving financially is an important part of our service to God. It fulfills a real need for our church and the world and demonstrates a true reliance on the God who created and owns all things. At Fredericktowne Baptist Church we strive to be good stewards of what

God has entrusted to us and we value the grace gifts of God’s people. When

believers give generously and cheerfully (Proverbs 3:27-28; Galatians 6:6-10),

we contribute to the work of ministry (2 Corinthians 9:6-11) and demonstrate our trust in the God who provides richly for his people (Matthew 6:33; 1 Timothy 6:17).

Supporting the Church's Goals

Our church benevolence fund is a financial resource set up by the church to provide assistance to members of the congregation. The fund is typically used to help individuals or families facing financial hardship, such as those dealing with medical expenses, job loss, or other unexpected financial challenges. The fund is supported by donations from church members. The purpose of the fund is to demonstrate compassion and support for those in need and to provide practical assistance during difficult times.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:10 ESV

The Bible, while not strictly forbidding debt among Christians, teaches that the borrower is enslaved to the lender (Proverbs 22:7; see 2 Kings 4:1), and teaches that the believer should owe no one anything except to love one another (Romans 13:8). We believe that eliminating all debt will, in the long run, give FBC a stronger witness to the world, a more stable foundation for ministry in the future, and a joyful reliance on the God who provides. Therefore, we have established a Mortgage Elimination Fund to

concentrate some of our efforts on reducing debt while also allowing us to fund all of the regular ministries of the church.

Jesus commanded his disciples to make other disciples (Matthew 28:18-20), and the Scriptures teach that believers should support the efforts of Christian missionaries (3 John 5-8).

We at Fredericktowne Baptist Church take this commission seriously and seek to support with our prayers, our finances, and our tangible aid, gospel-centered missionaries who scripturally evangelize and disciple the lost both at home and abroad.
