PASTOR TIM ALLEN

Pastor Timothy Allen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on November 20, 1969, and has been happily married to his wife, Ruth, for 15 years.  They have three beautiful children: Elizabeth, Sophia and George.

Before moving to Maryland, Tim worked as a registered architect in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania along with his wife.  He was ordained to gospel ministry by Brookfield Bible Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Temple University and Evangelical Seminary.  He was ordained in August 2010, at Brookfield Bible Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as a minister of the gospel and has served in full time pastoral ministry since December 2010. His preaching has been predominantly expository, with occasional topical studies.

Pastor Tim Allen grew up as a pastor’s son, and accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior when he was five years old. He was baptized at 13. He first began to feel that call to ministry in college, but did not respond until the age of 29 after having become an architect. He followed the calling out of the profession of architectural design and construction administration, with 22 years of experience, including managing and owning architectural firms in Central Pennsylvania.

His ministry experience began at Brookfield Bible Church in Harrisburg serving a ministry internship from 2006 to 2007 and as a deacon for a three year term from 2007 to 2009, He has been a board member with Cedar Lane Missionary Homes in Blackwood, New Jersey since 2015. He co-founded the Trinity Preparatory School in Voorhees,  New Jersey and was the School Board Chairman. He was also a teacher in the school teaching Biblical Hermeneutics, Christian Apologetics, Old Testament Survey and New Testament survey. Most recently Pastor Tim served as pastor of Christ Community Church in Lindenwold, New Jersey starting in 2010. His duties were wide ranging covering the preaching and teaching duties, as well as camp director for annual week long overnight camps hosted by the church, and administrative duties associated with church operations.

Pastor Tim is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education Ministry with a concentration on leadership from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He previously completed pre-seminary Bible classes at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 2001, followed by a Master of Divinity degree from Evangelical Seminary in Myersville, Pennsylvania in May 2009. He had completed an Associate of Arts Degree from Harrisburg Community College and a bachelor of Architecture Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia.

Tim Allen has emphasized discipleship and transformational teaching through congregational preaching and teaching in one-on-one and group settings. His motivation has been the love and care that God has shown him through the scriptures and what he has seen reflected in the lives of others. He has also invited younger people to assist in various shepherding opportunities. His desire is to shepherd the hearts of Christ’s flock through strong Bible preaching and teaching, equipping them for loving, faithful service.  Having been mentored by godly men, Pastor Tim seeks to be the kind of example God can use to help others grow in spiritual maturity in Christ.

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
